world is born by the hands of one nameless God
God created the world, and as he finished and was about to create life, could only create two lives and died, giving the remaining of his power to them
those two creatures, baal and azael, then created all of the life that would populate the world their God built for them (fauna and flora, animals, humans)
they split the world they had in two equal parts, heaven and hell, and decided accordingly on giving one to each, and behaving equally
the split in two worlds followed the infinity pattern : a life in a world until the end of the loop, to the other, until the end of that one, to the next. not favoring an infinity of existences/possibilities, but the recycling and perpetual turnover of them
their power was so immense and absolute, one of creating and the other of destroying, that the lives they created were terrified by their masters. as an ultimate gift of their kindness, the gods baal and azael decided to seal away half of their power in a physical object, that shall never be touched, and shall be guarded to make sure it never is unsealed. for this were created two receptacles, two swords, and their gardians, two dragons by the names of faeris and erato.

for hundreds and thousands of years, baal and azael reigned over heaven and hell, assuring that both worlds could communicate and fall back into each other, as humans and all creatures would eventually fall to their death and be reborn again. (loop, kinda like resetting)
but nothing is balanced perfectly, ever.
one day, azael got sick of being equal to her other half, and hungry for power she decided to fight him to steal his. but as they were equals, and her rage to win didnt add to her strenght to fight, they fought and fought until eventually azael was defeated by baal, as he deemed just to use his sword to counter her. this is the first betrayal, and the first jugement
for her sins, azael got punished and locked away, used as a martyr to show to the other existences around them that even a god will make mistakes, and will be punished for them. as a token of her master, the dragon gardian faeris got punished just the same, as they were modelled after the goddess azael. this is the divine martyr
without its ruler, heaven began to shift, and malice and pain grew into the hearts of the living. as their master once did, the humans built to the god's image grew insane and claimed heaven for themselves, and made it a hell worse than hell itself. this is the downshifting

for years and years on end, deprived of power and of her heaven to rule, azael became insane, and her person began to split in two : mind and soul. as her body was ravaged and tortured, and eventually rot back to the ground, her soul saw so much that even the future was but to a glance to her. azael's soul, all that remained of her, became the oracle
but as a god, even if her body rotted away, azael did not die. her body eventually got reborn, slowly but surely, not whole but complete, in the warm of her land : heaven. still a goddess, but weakened and still her power sealed away, she had to find a way to regain her strenght.
nor did faeris. still ordered to keep the sword of her master baal, who wished to keep the promise of sealing his power away, they went through the same split as azael did. but as their body kept its place and became a beast, their soul followed the steps of its goddess. and as their goddess, deprived of all power, they seaked resplendishing of their once glorious strenght.
the split in both faeris and azael being unpreceded, it stayed a secret only them knew about. this is the partition. with it, azael began her quest for revenge and for power, accompagnied by her disciple faeris : this is the first revenge

azael, who knew nothing of the ternished heaven she onced lived over, met with the despaired humans and despised them. they didnt welcome her with kindness, as they once did, and instead tried to kill her because they wouldnt understand who she was. so she did just what they meant to, she killed them and fed on them to kill them over and over, in this life and the next. and doing so, she discovered her strenght growing, as her hunger. then began azael's hunt.
scared off by their master's behavior, faeris ran away from azael. they were lost for a long time, until they met a kind human that took them in and accepted them even with their beast nature. only this human would see the guardian, and would accept it; touched by this, faeris wished to protect this human, and stayed with them until their death. they then stayed with their son, and their sons son, and so on. since then, faeris kept passing down the bloodline of this cursed family, inheriting them with the guardian curse.

in the midst of her murderous and glutonous insanity, azael realized that faeris had left her. put in an immense rage, azael promised to find faeris and annihilate them for their treason. but on the way, they met a kind human as well, the same way faeris did. but instead, when the goddess possessed its body, she fed on it from the inside - from its heart, its lifeforce, its perpetual end. this is the first time a creature was cut from the loop, and permanently died. this is the final blood
realizing the consequences of her actions - both on heaven and on herself -, azael contemplated wether it was worth it or not to risk the loop's end, and the world's end, to satisfy her hunger for power. but her insanity dictated her choice, and the second judgement was made : every risk was worth taking if supreme power can be achieved. therefore, azael continued her hunt, spilling more and more blood of creatures that were permanantly cut from the circle of life, acquiring more and more power.
but even if her body became more and more powerful, her powers were still nowhere to be found, because she lacked her mind, her soul. only when she was in the body of someone else, holding their soul as thight as she once held hers, her powers would spark ; but as she did so, the soul would shatter immediately, too weak in her oh so powerful hands. azael then realized : she had to find a vessel : a creature she could possess, that would not die to her power, and that would keep its soul alive and to her dispossal. her hunt to the perfect vessel then begun. the hunt to find faeris, and crush her, and then crush her brother baal.

numerous failed vessels on her way, and azael had found none that would fit her without dying. until one. a little girl named elvyra, hated for her differences, exorcised for what she saw. possessed by faeris, she had been tortured by visions, and then tortured for them.
as azael tracked down faeris, buried in the girl's body, they escaped azael's claws. the goddess immediately went after them, but was stopped by the little girl, who begged azael to spare faeris. she said : "this is not her fault, this is all these rotten human's fault. they deserve nothing but to die". the goddess failed to stand past such hatred, in such a small human body, as she never saw before. seduced by such hate and rage, she possessed the little girl, who turned out to survivre the possession perfectly. this made azael give up on her hunt on faeris, and icultivate her vessel instead, until one day she could seek her vengeance.
under azael's power, elvyra grew strong and independant, and a great vessel. but as their power grew, and as elvyra developped faculties through azael's powers, she began to transform into a being similar to the goddess herself. a being so powerful, that eventually, it fought to get back its power from its goddess parasite. and won. the fight between elvyra and azael was monstruous, as both became titans of power ; but as she grew up feeding on the goddess' energy, elvyra grew even stronger than her, and beat the poor azael down. defeated, azael was partly eaten alive by her vessel elvyra. she fed on half her skull, mostly on her left eye, before purposely letting the fallen goddess flee to her shame.

flooded by a new even more powerful power, elvyra grew into the first of her kind : an ascended one. nor alive nor dead, nor human nor god ; she was in between and above. and knowing what kind of power azael seeked, she seeked it as well.
with her immense unglodly power, elvyra tore a breach between heaven and hell, and went straight to baal, not to avenge azael but to claim the throne of hell and heaven to herself. and after a long fight that baal couldnt win, she succeeded, and sealed him away like he once did to elvyra's master. she lifted the seal to azael's sword, and ingurgited even more of her power, but couldnt get to the second sword, that remained sealed by an absent gardian with a wandering soul. Since then, elvyra has become the tyran of hell and heaven, with unstable and absolute powers her inabsolute body can barely countain.

until the oracle, once azael's soul, had a vision. the vision of her body finding faeris, and by the same occasion the perfect vessel to bring about her revenge. and in the future the oracle foresaw, azael suceeded, and brought about the end of the world with her.
and as elvyra would not listen to the oracle, the oracle herself went on a quest to prevent such tragedy. leaving hell by the same breach elvyra came from, oracle seeked faeris, to keep her away from azael, and to keep azael from discovering the perfect vessel by finding faeris. but even when she found the guardian, and tried to prevent the catastrophe by killing it before azael found it, the oracle failed - the vessel she found for herself died killed by faeris, or rather by the one they possessed, that refused to be killed by the oracle's vessel. faeris then refused to listen to the prophecy, and the oracle was killed by azael herself.
azael found faeries, and killed them and their vessel. and by the vessel's corpse, lied the perfect enraged vessel that azael needed to bring about the end of the world : dia.
